SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS (suggested) for the Thought for the Day

step 1:  set the video at fairly low size, 320 x 240  or  640 x 480
(so that the video is not too big.  the goal is to capture the sound)
step 2:  record the video

step 3:  get to a wifi zone and send the video in an email message.

1.  I need someone to read the books that are going to be on the Will Sutherland boats

2.  I need someone to improve the THOUGHT FOR THE DAY essays and provide INDEPTH deeper thoughts for the day

the someone might be you or you might be filtering the information for future SOMEONEs  who will provide these deeper insights and questions.

3.  I need someone to read each book deeply and to MARK at least FOUR PAGES or sections with pen.  Yes, leave your mark in the book.

help the next readers with underlinings, arrows, circles, highlights in color, whatever.   any or only one of the above or make up your own system of highlighting.

4.  Each highlight must have guiding words.   You will rewrite the basic idea in your own words.  you will explain WHY and HOW the passage relates to the GENERAL THEME(s) of the book

You will ask some questions to guide the student’s reflect of the book.   Perhaps you could ask a question like  “At the end of the day, please think about the passage…  What can you add to your understanding of the passage?  Did anything happen today that helps you understand this passage better?   If not, what do you think would make this passage more relevant to your life?"
